Department of Revenue, Ministry of Finance
Padmaraj’s decision to write the Civil Services exam shaped his career choices after IRMA. He worked with Andhra Pradesh Rural Development Department, Janaagraha, Prime Minister’s Rural Development Fund and the Reserve Bank of India before clearing civil services exam and joining the Civil Services. His preparation for the UPSC exam made him read extensively and helped him build upon the learnings from IRMA. RBI and his training in current service gave him exposure to vast and complex spheres of Finance, Tax and business law. Padmaraj believes that his commitment, courage, hardwork and values imbibed through his education have helped him in his journey. The people who worked with me as my bosses in Janaagraha and RBI have been his sources of inspiration. Professors from IRMA like Prof. Shylendra , Prof. Sony Pellisery and Prof KV Raju Sir have been a guiding light throughout his career.
His greatest takeaway from IRMA are the values that it taught – that will always push him to stand against corruption in his service and will make him put in maximum efforts to contribute to the organisation.
He would like to give back to IRMA by engaging with future batches of IRMA, to give them more exposure in Policy implementation leveraging on his experience in the field.
