Dear Friends,

Our beloved friend Shyam Mohan ( PRM-91-93) has passed away yesterday. He was in USA.

Shyam had kidney problems and it was transplanted few years back.

May God rest his soul in peace.

Rajnish Pankaj of PRM-24 succumbed to viral fever and passed away last night while he was on board from Mumbai to Delhi flight. He was suffering from viral fever from last couple of days and yesterday he decided to visit his elder brother's place for comfort. The unfortunate demise of Rajnish occurred while he was in the flight. Emergency landing of flight was done at Jaipur. His body will be brought to Patna today's evening. So, I request all IRMANs of Patna to please be there in the funeral.

Set up on the 24th of October, 1994 Charkha a voluntary, non-government organisation was born with the realisation that developmental issues pertaining to rural India were not receiving adequate coverage in mainline media.

It is a Charkha priority that constructive and positive aspects of all developmental work are duly covered by both national and regional media. Charkha focuses attention on the underprivileged and marginalised whose cause is often overlooked and whose voice remains unheard.

Founder

Born in 1959 at Nagpur, Sanjoy Ghose (PRM 1) spent his childhood in Mumbai, Maharashtra.

On July 4, 1997, Sanjoy was abducted from the riverine island of Majuli, by ULFA militants. He was never to be found again.
